Biography
Dominick Cristofori D’Alessandro is a Philadelphia-based pianist and teacher. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at Temple University, where he studies with Dr. Charles Abramovic. Dominick serves as a graduate teaching assistant in the Keyboard Department at the Boyer College of Music and Dance. His article, “The Unrecognized Performing Art of Group Piano Teaching,” discussing classroom dynamics, was published in Piano Magazine (Winter 2023/2024). Dominick earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a Minor in Music Theory from the Catholic University of America, graduating summa cum laude. He was granted the 2020 Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award by the Presser Foundation in Philadelphia. Dominick is on the piano faculty at Temple University’s Music Preparatory Division and is an After-School Music Teacher at The Philadelphia School in Center City.
