The annual thesis show is almost here! Join us in celebrating the opening of this year’s thesis show, ART CAN! The show features work by graduating students in Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, Painting and Drawing, Intermedia and Electronic Arts, and Filmmaking. The students’ work showcases how art is more than just an academic discipline and physical objects. They show how art can deepen our understanding, transform how we see the world, and communicate meaning in ways that truly resonate. A new week, a new feature! This week, we are excited to feature the studio tech for the sculpture room, Anthony Tran! Tran is from Jersey City, New Jersey, and primarily works there, building crates to transport works of art! Tran has a BA in Fine Arts from New Jersey City University, where he gained his strength in sculpture, sculpture installation, and art logistics. Outside of his degree, one of Trans’s biggest accomplishments is completing a residency at Peters Valley School of Craft! His attention to detail is a key aspect of his work that sets it apart. Along with his attention to detail in his work, Tran also draws inspiration from James McNabb. Fun Facts: Tran also dabbles in 3D modeling and animation, using them for installation work in a digital space.
