Another Friday, another feature! This week, we get to feature Heather Edwards! Heather is in her final year of the BFA program as a Studio Art Major. Part of what makes Heather’s art stand out so much is the fact that she makes all of her pieces either on or out of cardboard. Heather got the inspiration to work on cardboard from Hector Spector, who is another artist who works on cardboard. With every piece she creates, Heather shows that art doesn’t have to be expensive, and it can be made from even the most basic materials. Heather has done many art projects using materials other than cardboard, such as ceramics, but her favorite piece thus far has been the couch she is making out of cardboard. We can’t wait to see where her art goes after graduation and where her journey takes her outside of her art!
