The arts programs at Rutgers–Camden offer a flexible range of opportunities for students to explore an education in visual arts, art history/museum studies, and performing arts in music and theater. These programs teach technical, academic, creative, and communication skills as part of our curriculum in Animation, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Art History, Music, Theater, and Filmmaking majors and concentrations.

The Mallery Concert Series continues this Wednesday with flutist Robert Cart!🪈 Robert is an  internationally acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, performing across Europe, Asia, and the Americas . He’s played with legendary conductors like Bernstein, Leppard, and Zinman, and graced stages at top festivals like Tanglewood, Ravello, and Aldeburgh.He’s also performed at venues such as The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center! Come during free period and enjoy some beautiful music. Stop by during your free period and enjoy some beautiful music! 🎶

Soyeon Bin (she/her) is a dedicated music educator, soprano, pianist, and director based in Philadelphia and South Jersey. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she studied voice under world-renowned tenor Philip Cho at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance and continued her piano studies privately with Seymour Lipkin at the Curtis Institute of Music. Holding degrees in both opera performance and music education, Professor Bin is passionate about choirs, believing in their ability to unite people from diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds into one harmonious voice. As an active musical theatre music director, she has directed numerous productions in the Philadelphia area and at Rutgers-Camden, including the upcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show that will premiere on October 31st. Beyond her work in the U.S., Soyeon regularly participates in international choral festivals across Europe and North America, showcasing her choirs at their finest. At Rutgers University, she teaches voice, piano, and music theory, directs the Rutgers University Concert Choir, and is preparing for a winter holiday concert on December 10th. When not immersed in music, she enjoys rewatching crime dramas like NCIS and Criminal Minds. She lives with her husband, YJ, and their two puffy and adorable cats, Lyusha and Asha.

Check out our brand new computer media lab in Room 108 in the Fine Arts Building. A perfect space for Rutgers students to create, collaborate, and innovate. Classes in Graphic Design, Theater Technology and Production, and Photography are among the courses to be taught at the lab. Stop by to take a look if you are not already taking a class there!
“Masterful” pianist Melody Fader will join us on October 9th for our 3rd concert in our Mallery Concert series this semester. Melody has played around the United States as a chamber and solo musician. She has played at many venues in New York such as Alice Tully Hall, The Joyce Theater, The New York Times Center, and Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall. She’s been featured in the The New York Times, which has called her work “sumptuous” and “stirring” and commented that she “plays with elegance”. Mark your calendar for this Wednesday's concert during free period.
