DESCRIPTION:Directed by Prof. Soyeon Bin \nThis season’s concert will honor Jerome Kern and his legacy\, who is the pioneer of modern musical theater. Kern’s shows were stepping stones in the evolution of the American musical\, which influenced later composers like Richard Rodgers\, George Gershwin\, and Stephen Sondheim. We will be performing selections from his Hollywood film music and musicals such as Swing Time\, Roberta\, Very Warm For May\, Show Boat\, Sally\, Music in the Air\, and Cover Girl.
